Practice Test
BLIND
What comes to mind before you look?
A hidden photo is waiting behind a code. Record your impressions first, then reveal it and compare.
- Takes about 5 minutes.
- Type here, or use pen and paper if you prefer.
- No scores. There is no right or wrong. Curiosity is enough.
Step 1 · Target
This is your target code.
It points to one hidden photo. You won't see it until your impressions are recorded.
First time seeing this target on this device.
Step 2 · Settle
Settle your attention.
- Sit comfortably and soften your gaze.
- Take three slow breaths. Follow the circle if it helps.
- Hold the code lightly in mind. Don't try to guess.
Step 3 · Record
Write what comes to mind.
- Note raw impressions: colours, shapes, textures. Single words are fine.
- Don't name it too early. "Tall, grey, rough" beats "a castle".
- Unsure? Write it anyway. Uncertainty is part of the record.
Using paper instead? That's perfect. Just tap continue when you're done.
Step 4 · Reveal
Ready to look?
Your notes are locked in. Keep them exactly as they are. Your first impressions are the record.
The target
Take a moment with it before comparing. Notice what you see first.
Step 5 · Compare
How did you go?
- Read your notes, then look at the photo again.
- Note what matched: colour, shape, texture, setting.
- Note what differed, just as carefully.
That was one session.
BLIND holds 160.
- 40 concealed photo targets, each behind its own code
- 4 rounds that bring every target back, so you can see how your impressions change
- Session cards to write and sketch by hand, with a separate reveal section
- A comparison index to review all four attempts at each target
Curiosity is enough.

Repeating a target you've already seen is a different exercise: memory starts to shape what you record. For new blind targets, the book has 40.
